I read lot of posts in the web that state "Bitcoin is the new gold".

But I disagree with this statement, as Bitcoin is only a financial asset, but gold has several other uses, e.g.:

• Jewelry and Crafts: used already 5000 years ago to create masterpieces

• Dentistry: dental crowns and bridges

• Chemistry: gold acts as catalyst in several reactions

• Electronics: gold is used for connectors, contacts, circuit boards and in other equipments because gold is very good conductor and does not corrode

• Aerospace: gold is used for specific coating on spacecraft and astronauts visors

I don't know if gold has other uses, but its value goes far beyond finance.
